AC Milan are set to make a bid for Barcelona midfielder Alex Song in the January transfer window. The Cameroon international has struggled to force his way into manager Gerardo Martino's first team plans and will seek a move away from the Nou Camp.

The former Arsenal midfielder has told his agent that he is frustrated waiting for a chance to play in the first team and will now pursue a transfer away in January.<br />

The 15 million rated star has attracted the attention of Italian giants AC Milan. The midfielder has already been linked with the Italian side in the past, prior to joining Barca.<br />

AC Milan are hopeful that a deal can be agreed prior to the transfer window, with vice president Adriano Galliani set to fly to Spain for talks sometime in October.
