Manchester United are reportedly linked with a move for Juventus centre-back Leanardo Bonucci, as per Italian source Tutto Mercato.
The Red Devils manager David Moyes is on the search for a new central partnership in defence, following the club's poor defensive display since the start of the new campaign.
According to Tutto Mercato, the 26-year-old Italian defender continues to be highly regarded by the Red Devils in their transfer shortlist, despite being warned by the Bianconeri's Director General Giuseppe Marotta on trying to unsettle the player.
It will be interesting to see whether the Premier League holders make a bid for Bonucci, with reports suggesting of Vidic's departure from the Red Devils in January.
