The England International has failed to earn the trust of manager Manuel Pellegrini this season, having made just two appearances for the club in all competitions till now.<br /><br />The form of Pablo Zabaleta at right-back has dented Richard's chances of securing a regular first-team spot at the Etihad Stadium as he looks to recover full fitness.<br /><br />With Roma making an excellent start to their Serie A campaign, Richards is considered as the main target to replace Nicolas Burdisso who looks set to leave Stadio Olympico during the winter transfer window.
