Man City target Willy Caballero happy to stay at Malaga

17 October 2013 - 13:44

Malaga goalkeeper Willy Caballero has revealed that he is happy to stay with the La Liga outfit, in spite of interest from several clubs during the summer.

  • Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Crystal Palace, Evans starts
  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • The Argentinian shot stopper was tipped to follow former manager Manuel Pellegrini to Manchester City, but opted to remain with the Spanish club.

Malaga's financial problems led to the sale of several top players over the last year, including Santi Cazorla, Isco and Martin Demichelis, but Caballero believes that he made the right choice to stay with the club and also insisted that some of his former team-mates have regretted their moves away from the Andalusian club.

"I had a lot of offers in the summer. There were many possible moves in the team and I was not the exception. Now I am calm and doing well in Malaga," He said.

"There is a [release] clause, of course. But most of my colleagues who went to other teams say they regret having left."
