Championship outfit Wigan Athletic have successfully completed the signing of Aston Villa's out of favour winger Marc Albrighton on loan.
The talented 23-year-old became a hot shot at the Villans during Gerard Houllier's sole season at Villa Park, as he was called up to the England Under-21 squad in September 2010.
Albrighton has failed to establish himself under manager Paul Lambert, and has therefore made a temporary loan move to the Latics with Scottish International Shaun Maloney facing an extend spell in the sidelines having suffered a hip injury.
"Marc has shown what an outstanding player he is time and again in the Premier League, and he is someone I have tried to sign in the past, so I'm delighted to bring him on board to strengthen our squad," Wigan manager Owen Coyle said.
