• Spurs have lacked a consistent goal scorer this campaign, and in spite of acquiring 20 points in their opening 10 Premier League games, the club have hit the net just nine times.
The Telegraph reports that Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas will make a transfer offer for the Mexican International when the transfer window opens up, only if the club manage to offload out-of-favour Emmanuel Adebayor.
Hernandez has netted 34 goals in 81 Premier League games for Manchester United.
