Ben Haim pledges Israel help

16 November 2007 - 00:36

Chelsea's Israeli defender Ben Haim has said that his Chelsea English teammates have asked for his help in giving England qualification for Euro 2008, particularly Joe Cole.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • Ben Haim told The Sun: “The last few weeks in training have been full of talk about the Russia game. The England lads have been piling the pressure about Israel getting the result that will help them out.”

“Joe has said I can choose a holiday if we can beat Russia – I’m not sure if he is kidding on me but it would be nice to find out,” the former Bolton Wanderers centre-back added.

“I can assure England fans that Israel will give one hundred per cent, we want to win the game and if it helps England qualify then great, make no mistake, we will give everything in this game.”
