Chelsea plot £60m bid for Monaco star Radamel Falcao

12 November 2013 - 04:37

Chelsea are keen on acquiring the services of Monaco forward Radamel Falcao, with manager Jose Mourinho set to fly to South America this week to watch the Colombian International, ahead of sanctioning a £60m move during the January transfer window.

  • The 27-year-old who moved to Monaco from Atletico Madrid during the summer, is apparently discontent with his life in France following the high taxation on his wages, and Mourinho is keeping an eye on the situation in case the opportunity arises for him to sign the top striker that he desperately wants.

Falcao has netted nine times for Monaco in Ligue 1 this season, which is more than what the striking trio of Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto'o have achieved so far.(three)
