Chelsea forward Demba Ba eyes Turkish move

16 November 2013 - 05:22

Chelsea striker Demba Ba is hopeful that a deal can be wrapped up that will see him complete a move to the Turkish league. Both Galatasaray and Besiktas are rumoured to have made enquiries for the burly forward.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Demba Ba, who is currently third choice striker at the Blues behind the likes of Fernando Torres, is eagerly anticipating a transfer to another division with Chelsea believed to be ready to sell the player as part of a cut price deal.

Arsenal were believed to have come very close to signing Ba on loan in this summer just passed but Jose Mourinho blocked a deal at the very last minute leaving the Gunners with no option but to keep backup forward Nicklas Bendtner. Ba was reportedly very disappointed with Chelsea after a transfer to the Gunners fell through and is now hoping his current club will repay the favour and help push through a transfer to Turkey.

Ba is available on loan but Chelsea are believed to prefer a permanent transfer for the striker so that they can find a replacement. Saido Berahino of West Bromwich Albion has today been linked with a move to Chelsea as a possible replacement for Ba.
