Manchester United are monitoring the progress of Dundee United midfield sensation Ryan Gauld, with a view of making a bid for the player in January.
The 17-year-old attacking midfielder has become a key member of the Terrors first team this season, having notched up five goals in 14 appearances for the Scottish outfit.<br /><br />Gauld, who has been tracked by various Premier League clubs in Newcastle United, Liverpool and Everton in recent weeks, made his debut for Scotland's Under-21s the past week.<br /><br />The People reports that the Red Devils manager David Moyes had sent Jimmy Lumsden to make a comprehensive scouting report on the talented midfielder during the Young Scots' 1-1 draw with Georgia in Paisley last Thursday.<br /><br />Manchester United would require a transfer fee of around £5m to acquire Ryan Gauld's signature.</div><br />
