Man City chasing Julio Cesar

Man City chasing Julio Cesar

20 November 2013 - 07:50

Manchester City are hopeful that a deal can be agreed with Queens Park Rangers for the signing of Brazil's number 1 goalkeeper Julio Cesar. The keeper has been told that he is free to leave Rangers in the January transfer window.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • Harry Redknapp told the keeper that he would be allowed to leave in January on a free transfer as the London side is eager to remove the keeper off of their hefty wage bill. Rangers have been in excellent form this year but it appears the 34-year-old is no longer in their plans for the next six months.<br />

There are numerous other teams reportedly interested. French club Rennes and Italian side Sampdoria have also expressed some interest in the player, but Man City appear to be favourites as they are eyeing a deal for Cesar as their second choice keeper behind Joe Hart.
