Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor is remaining optimistic about the injury he picked up in England's Under-21 game with Bulgaria on Friday night. Gabby will find out the extent of his injury on Saturday.
Agbonlahor, who scored the opener for Stuart Pearce's side, said: "I took a knock on my cartilage but I don't think it's too bad, so I'll have to see what it's like today.
"I don't know whether I'll miss Tuesday's game (Portugal away). Until it settles down I can't really say much more.
"It's hurting quite a bit at the moment. I don't know whether I'll need a scan. Hopefully I'll find out today."
The 21-year-old picked the injury during a challenge with Bulgarian defender Ivan Ivanov and Villa boss Martin O’Neill will be hoping he recovers in time for next weekend's trip to Middlesbrough.
