Chelsea left back Ashley Cole has been linked with a shock transfer to the USA, with a move to the MLS being suggested by the Metro on Sunday. The England international is reportedly looking to quit the Blues in the January transfer window.

The 33-year-old is desperate to play regularly ahead of the World Cup after Spaniard Cesar Azpilicueta took the player's first team place after Cole's poor performance against Newcastle last month. According to reports, Cole would be interested in a move to New York, where there has been reports of a potential link up with former Arsenal team-mate Thierry Henry at the New York Red Bulls.
