Arsenal goalkeeper talks up title challenge

02 December 2013 - 07:49

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny thinks that recent performances in the Premier League prove that the Gunners will continue to mount a Premier League challenge. The Gunners defeated Cardiff City 3-0 at the weekend, and their Polish number 1 had to be on hand to make an important save to make sure 3 points went to the London side

  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • The Polish goalkeeper has only recently signed a new contract extension at the Emirates and is now officially the number 1 shot stopper at the club. The Polish keeper is certain that with continued excellent performances, Arsenal will go on to lead the table after the New Year: "We're in a position that we'd like to be in for as long as possible," he said. "But it really doesn't matter where we are now. It matters where we are in May, and if we carry on like we are now then I'm certain we'll be top in May. "But we have a lot of work to do, a lot of tough games to win. There's no point in putting pressure on ourselves. We just want to enjoy every single game, that's bringing the best out of us and I don't think that will change."
