Southampton linked with swap deal for former Gunner Carlos Vela

03 December 2013 - 09:56

La Liga outfit Real Sociedad are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Italian International Pablo Osvaldo from Southampton on a swap deal, involving former Arsenal star Carlos Vela during the winter transfer window.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • According to the TuttoMercato, the Spanish side are keen on signing the Saints forward, as the club aim to earn a top four spot in the La Liga this season.

Sociedad are likely to offer former Gunner Carlos Vela in a swap deal for the Italian striker, who has failed to settle at the South Coast since he joined the Saints from AS Roma during the summer.

Southampton may well be tempted by the offer, as Carlos Vela could be the ideal signing for the club in their quest for a European qualification spot.
