Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina is delighted to have been linked with a transfer to Barcelona at the end of next season. Reina, who is currently on loan at Serie A side Napoli from Liverpool, has been tipped to eventually replace Victor Valdes as first choice goalkeeper at the Nou Camp.
Liverpool have told Pepe Reina that they will be looking to sell the keeper once his loan deal at Napoli ends and there will be no shortage of interest as several top European sides, including Barcelona, have shown interest in the keeper.
With Victor Valdes expected to quit the Nou Camp as soon as his contract expires at the end of the season, Barcelona are looking for a replacement and Reina is believed to be their preferred choice.
Reina himself is delighted to have heard of the Barcelona move talk and told Spanish reporters: "What happens in the future is beyond me. What is certain is that I will return to Liverpool.
"Barcelona will be searching for a keeper and with confirmation of Victor Valdes' final season, will be following several candidates. Of course, for any player it is a compliment when a big club likes you. It's nice and it encourages you to keep working well."
