Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is expected to reject loan offers for the club's Montenegrin striker Stevan Jovetic in January.

The Montenegrin forward has failed to adapt to life in the Premier League following his summer switch from Italian outfit Fiorentina, and it is thought that a host of Serie A clubs including Roma and Inter Milan, are interested in signing the player on a temporary basis during the winter transfer window.<br />

However, The Mirror claims that the Citizens want their £25m summer signing to stay with the club and adapt to the Premier League atmosphere.<br />

Jovetic, who is currently sidelined with a shin injury, has featured three times for the club this season.
