The 23-year-old German International, who has eight caps for his country, has 18 months left on his current contract with BVB, and this had attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Real Madrid in recent weeks.<br />

However, The Daily Mail claims that the talented midfielder could well join the Catalan giants Barcelona, with the club keen on adding reinforcements in midfield sooner rather than later.<br />

Reports elsewhere claim that Gundogan's father recently met up with the senior officials at Barca to discuss the future of the player.
