The Serbian International, who joined the Citizens from Lazio in 2010 for a fee worth &pound;19m, had revealed last week that he is open to a Serie A return in the later stage of his career.<br />

However, the 28-year-old star has found it hard to feature regularly in the Premier League , with Gael Clichy prefered for the left-back role under manager Manuel Pellegrini, and this could well tempt Kolarov in making an Italy return in the New Year.<br />

Zenit St.Petersburg are also having a close look on the player's status with the Etihad outfit.&nbsp;
