  • Eyefootball understands that chairman Daniel Levy will entrust Baldini with the search to find a new replacement for Villas-Boas as they look to appoint a new manager in time for the New Year.

Baldini reportedly told Levy that he would stand down as Director of Football at White Hart Lane but that offer was rejected.

Amongst the names linked with the vacant Spurs job so far include Michael Laudrup, Frank De Boer, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Fabio Capello.
