Chelsea plot £48m bid for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain

Chelsea are believed to be interested in bringing Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli during the January transfer window.

  • According to The Sun, the Serie A giants are willing to allow the sale of the talented forward in the upcoming transfer window, with Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho willing to pay as much as £48m for the player's services.



    Mourinho is believed to be keen on a reunion with his former player, who played an instrumental part in the team's formation during his managerial reign with Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013.



    The former Real Madrid man has been in top form for the Naples outfit having amassed 13 goals in 21 appearances in all competitions this season.
