Manchester United have been told that they can secure the services of German midfield star Marco Reus, if they are able to trigger the player's £40m release clause.
According to The Daily Mail, German outfit Borussia Dortmund have quoted their price for the talented star, who has been linked with a switch to the Red Devils in recent weeks.<br />
Manager David Moyes considers the player as his top transfer priority in the winter, but will have to match the player's release clause which now stands at £40m. It is understood that BVB increased Reus' clause from £29.4m this season, following the departure of Mario Gotze to German rivals Bayern Munich in the summer.<br />
The Red Devils will have to break the club's transfer record to sign Reus in January, with the club's highest transfer upto now being the £30.75m signing of Dimitar Berbatov from Tottenham Hotspur in September 2008.
