Manchester United have been told that they can secure the services of German midfield star Marco Reus, if they are able to trigger the player's £40m release clause.

 • Chelsea plan shock swoop for Sporting CP star
 • Chelsea have clear stance on signing Victor Osimhen
 • According to The Daily Mail, German outfit Borussia Dortmund have quoted their price for the talented star, who has been linked with a switch to the Red Devils in recent weeks.
Manager David Moyes considers the player as his top transfer priority in the winter, but will have to match the player's release clause which now stands at £40m. It is understood that BVB increased Reus' clause from £29.4m this season, following the departure of Mario Gotze to German rivals Bayern Munich in the summer.
The Red Devils will have to break the club's transfer record to sign Reus in January, with the club's highest transfer upto now being the £30.75m signing of Dimitar Berbatov from Tottenham Hotspur in September 2008.
