Arsenal pondering over Dimitar Berbatov transfer

02 January 2014 - 12:44

Arsenal are reportedly considering making a bid for the services of Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov in January.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is keen on signing a new striker in the transfer window, and his need could well come sooner rather than later, following Nicklas Bendtner's ankle injury during the club's 2-0 win over Cardiff City at the Emirates on New Year's day, which left the club with only one out-and-out striker in French International Olivier Giroud.

The Sun claims that Arsenal could move for the former Manchester United star, as he would be available on a cut-price deal, with his contract set to expire at the end of the current season.

With Berbatov keen on leaving the Cottagers in January, the North London giants could well sign the talented marksman in a few days' time.

Arsenal are currently top of the Premier League with 45 points.
