Modibo Maiga heading for West Ham exit door

09 January 2014 - 08:03

West Ham United striker Modibo Maiga will be allowed to quit Upton Park in the January transfer window, if a striking replacement is found before the end of the month. Lacina Traore has been linked with a mega money move to East London.

  • Modibo Maiga has found himself in and out of the first team this year, but mainly because of the injury to first choice forward Andy Carroll. There remains some uncertainty about whether or not Maiga is still required at the club.

Sam Allardyce has entrusted Maiga with striking repsonsibilities in the interim, but he has failed to impress his manager.

Real Betis are reportedly in pole position to sign the player, and are ready to pay up to 4 million Euros to wrap up a deal.
