Liverpool scouts have been monitoring the progress of 24-year-old Senegalese born centre back Cheikhou Kouyate, currently playing in Belgium for Anderlecht. The player is valued at approximately 10 million Euros.
The 24-year-old has been an almost ever present for the Belgian side since progressing into the first team back in 2008, and after numerous impressive performances many European clubs have taken note. It is understood that the Senegalese international is being lined up for a transfer move by Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers.
It is understood that the player is amongst a list of five names who could be brought to Anfield in the January transfer window or in the summer transfer window.
