Yohan Cabaye focused on Newcastle; ignores transfer talk

11 January 2014 - 14:57

Newcastle United playmaker Yohan Cabaye wants to focus on his current role at the club and ignores talk of a move away from St. James' Park. Cabaye has attracted the interest of both Arsenal and Man Utd in recent months.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The Gunners are believed to have made a bid for Cabaye last summer and failed in their efforts to secure a deal; agreeing a transfer for Germany international Mesut Ozil instead. Manchester United are the newest team to have an interest in French international Cabaye as David Moyes begins his search for new players in the transfer window.

Manchester United fans are frustrated with the club's recent performances and many believe Moyes' midfield to be the problem, thus Cabaye has been linked with a transfer to Old Trafford.

When asked about his future, Cabaye said: "For me to go to Paris or another club, there is nothing. I just want to be focused on the next game, Man City."
