Man United to lose out on Coentrao

Coentrao - move has fallen through

Man United to lose out on Coentrao

13 January 2014 - 15:03

Reigning Premier league Champions are likely to miss out on signing Real Madrid’s Portuguese Left back Fabio Coentrao. The25 year old has had a frustrating season having fallen down the pecking order behind Marcelo.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The Left back had been heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford but it may not go through as Madrid want €25 million for the full back.

That however is unlikely to happen which means that Coentrao will now stay put at Santiago Bernabeu at least for the time being.

Manchester United will be looking to sign a left back either in January or in the summer as current incumbent Patrice Evra is out of Contract in the summer and his understudies Alex Buttner and Fabio failing to impress.
