15 January 2014 - 07:37

Sunderland manager Gus Poyet is preparing a transfer to sign Internacional's attacking midfielder Ignacio Scocco. The 28-year-old is one name on a list of around 5 different transfer targets that Poyet is looking to bring in this month.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • A report from Brazil suggests that Sunderland's scouts have been deployed to catch the versatile forward in action playing for his club amidst some impressive performances for his club. Last season the player spent a remarkable season on loan in his homeland playing for Newell's Old Boys and the talented player bagged 24 goals in 33 games. Scocco has also recently received his first call up to Argentina's national side and scored two goals on his debut.<br />

It is understood that Internacional will not listen to any offers less than a reported $6.5 million USD.
