Italian giants have acquired the services of Brazilian playmaker Jorginho from Hellas Verona on a four-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old, who had been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea in recent weeks, has joined the Partenopei following a successful spell with Verona where he made 89 league appearances in three seasons, as he earned the club promotion to the Serie A last season.
Napoli chairman Aurelio de Laurentiis confirmed the news on his Twitter feed, which read: "Welcome, Jorginho! Your freshness will be useful to (Rafael) Benitez and the whole squad."
Jorginho notched up seven goals in 18 Serie A appearances for Verona this season.
