Real Madrid are reportedly readying a transfer offer for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, according to The Daily Mail.

The talented Argentine, who has been in top form for the Citizens this season is part of the three-man shortlist put up by Los Blancos for the summer.

However, City are unlikely to accept the offer, but a move could be on based on whether Aguero is tempted by a switch to the La Liga giants.

Manchester United's Wayne Rooney and Monaco's Radamel Falcao are also part of the transfer shortlist.

Aguero joined the Citizens from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011.
