Tottenham Hotspur are planning to sign Dutch forward Ibrahim Afellay on a temporary basis until the end of the season, according to The Metro.
The talented star has failed to step his vote for a starting place at the Catalan giants, mainly due to his injury setbacks in recent seasons.
However, with the player back to full-fitness this season, Spurs boss Tim Sherwood has expressed his intention of bring the Oranje star to the club on loan for the remainder of the season.
"Our plan is that he will stay here, but we can't rule out an exit. He might leave." Barca manager Tata Martino said.
Afellay spent the 2012/13 season on loan with Bundesliga club Schalke 04.
