Sunderland manager Gus Poyet wants to sign Tottenham defensive midfielder Etienne Capoue on loan. The Frenchman is yet to force his way into Tim Sherwood's first team plans on a regular basis.

Sunderland manager Gus Poyet wants to sign Tottenham defensive midfielder Etienne Capoue on loan. The Frenchman is yet to force his way into Tim Sherwood's first team plans on a regular basis.Capoue, who arrived from Toulouse, has been struggling to adapt to the rigours of first team football in England and it is hoped that a transfer to another Premier League side will help his development.There are still high hopes for Capoue at Spurs, yet many think that he just needs more playing time to develop properly.
