Reports in Italian Media suggest that AC Milan are eyeing a move for Real Madrid defender Fabio Coentrao. The Portuguese has been heavily linked with a move away from the club.

  • The 25 year old has been linked with Manchester United and other Italian clubs but Los Blancos have so far insisted that he will not be leaving the club in this transfer window.

However, Italian daily Corriere dello Sport suggest that the Rossoneri may look to bring him in this January and also go on to say that Sporting director Adriano Galliani has been in contact with former Milan Manager Carlo Ancelotti over the sale of the former Benfica man.

Coentrao who joined Real after the 2010 World cup in South Africa has struggled to establish himself at the Bernabeu and in his time only made 40 league appearances for the club.

A summer move for the player still remains the likely proposition.
