Pirlo to stay at Juventus

Andrea Pirlo has come out and quashed any rumours of him moving away from Juventus by saying that he will be staying at the club. The 34 year old is out of contract in the summer and speculation had suggested that clubs in England were after his signature.

  • Pirlo was speaking at the Gran Gala del Calcio where he was named 2012-13 player of the year and the best playmaker in Serie A.



    “Will I stay at Juve? Yes, yes.”



    The former Milan man also went on to say how important the award was for him as he was nominated by his fellow colleagues which is best for any footballer. The midfielder also went on to add how proud he was of this award.



    Speculation amongst various Italian Media is that Pirlo is on the verge of agreeing a two year extension to his current contract at Bianconeri.
