Manchester United are reportedly keen on securing the services of Newcastle United defensive midfielder Cheick Tiote during the summer.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The Reds manager David Moyes is keen on adding more solidarity to his midfield setup, and the Daily Star claims that the Scot will make a move for the talented Ivory Coast international in the summer, having failed with an enquiry for the player in the recently concluded winter transfer window.

The report also claims that Tiote is considered as an ideal replacement for Michael Carrick.

Tiote, who has been capped 41 times by the Ivorian senior side, has three-and-a-half years left on his current contract at the Tyneside outfit.
