Szczesny tried to convince Lewandowski to join Arsenal

Polish striker Robert Lewandowski has confirmed that Arsenal Goalkeeper and International team mate Wojcicech Szczesny tried to convince him to join Arsenal.

The 25 year old has decided to join Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in the summer as a free agent from Borussia Dortmund.



Talking to Polish Newspaper Fakt Lewandowski said,



“I can confirm that Wojciech Szczesny tried to convince me to join Arsenal,”



“We had several talks about this. It was him who did most of the talking, how the club looks inside, what Arsene Wenger thinks of me.”



Since joining Dortmund in 2010 the former Lech Poznan striker has had impressive timeat Dortmund winning four trophies and scoring 91 goals in all competitions.
