Arsenal are reportedly set to make a shock move for former striker Robin Van Persie from Manchester United after manager Arsene Wenger met up with the Dutchman's agent last month.
The talented Netherlands international joined the Red Devils from the Gunners for a reported fee of £24m in the summer of 2012, helped the club to retain the Premier League title last season.
However, Sky Sports Italia claims that the 30-year-old is understood to be disillusioned with his life at Old Trafford under manager David Moyes, and is keen on a return to the North London giants in the summer.
Van Persie notched up 132 goals in 277 appearances for the Gunners from 2004-2012.
