Bayern Munich eye Mathieu Debuchy

Last year’s German treble winners Bayern Munich are eyeing a move for Newcastle United right back Mathieu Debuchy. The former Lille player joined the Magpies in January last year.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Manager Pep Guardiola will be given a war chest to strengthen in the summer and he has identified the full back area as a priority. The former Barcelona man sees club captain Philip Lahm as more of midfielder and has only Rafinha as a recognized right back.

Debuchy, since arriving at St. James’ Park has been one of the standouts at the club. However the 28 year may contemplate moving with his friend Yohan Cabaye having already been sold.

Newcastle in the past have shown that will consider offers for their players, so if Bayern can match the valuation the French international may well be on his way.
