Eredivisie giants PSV Eindhoven have confirmed that Arsenal are interested in securing the services of highly-rated youngster Zakaria Bakkali in the summer.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • According to the Metro, an unnamed source from the Dutch media revealed that the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger considers Bakkali as a top transfer option and is ready to make a summer offer for the player's signature.

“Bakkali is a player that Wenger rates highly,” the report read. “Arsenal have kept an eye on him and are aware that other teams want him, so could move in the summer to buy him.”

However, Arsenal who are considered frontrunners for the 18-year-old's services, could face a transfer tussle from Spanish champions Barcelona, who have also been credited with interest in the player in recent weeks.
