Everton are preparing a surprise move to secure the services of Joe Allen from rivals Liverpool, as per the Sunday People.
The talented Welsh midfielder who joined the Reds from Swansea City in 2012, has failed to cement his place in the first-team this season, and has started in only seven Premier League games as of now.
The Sunday People claims that Martinez, who last managed Allen in his managerial tenure at Swansea, is pondering a summer move for his services with Gareth Barry's future at Goodison Park in doubt beyond the end of the current campaign.
