New York Red Bulls monitoring Didier Drogba transfer status

25 February 2014 - 08:21

Major League Soccer side New York Red Bulls are contemplating a transfer move for Galatasaray striker Didier Drogba. The Ivory Coast international has already admitted that he would like to move away from Turkey at the end of the season.

  • Chelsea star wins PFA Young Player of the Year award
  • Chelsea midfielder won't join Premier League rivals

  • Whilst Chelsea have been persistently linked with a move for the veteran striker, it appears Jose Mourinho has decided to move elsewhere in search of attacking options.

The talented striker has delivered the goods since his move to Turkey and has helped Galatasaray to some success in European competition since his arrival.

The MLS side are hopeful that a deal can be agreed for Drogba and that he will be partnered with fellow veteran attacker, former Arsenal frontman Thierry Henry.
