Jose Mourinho is ready to offer evergreen midfielder Frank Lampard a new one year contract at Stamford Bridge. The midfielder has been a regular this year under Mourinho during his second spell at Chelsea.

It is understood that Lampard, who already has some options to play abroad from next season, is more than happy to stay at the Bridge for another season even if it means taking a pay cut.

Lampard has been in good form this year as his club have pushed themselves up the Premier League table but is very aware of the fact that other players have recently taken his place in the first team.

The England international is said to be ready to put pen to paper on a deal which has already been agreed in principle.
