Turkish giants Besiktas are reportedly inching closer to the signing of Manchester City centre-back on a Bosman move in the summer.
The Mirror reports that the talented defender is set for a transfer in the summer, having been informed by manager Manuel Pellegrini that he is not part of the team's plans for the future.
The Super Lig outfit are understood to be willing to offer a weekly wage of around £100,000 for the 31-year-old, who has made just 7 appearances for the Citizens in the League this season.
