The talented English international's future with the Citizens is seemingly in doubt with just over a year left in his contract, and Spurs are looking to capitalise on the uncertainty by launching a summer offer for his services.

 

It is understood that manager Tim Sherwood will be in the market in the search for top-class recruits in the summer, and Milner may be the type of player that would fit the club's tactical setup come the next campaign.

 

City boss Manuel Pellegrini looks set to release a number of English players at the end of the season, and Milner could be part of the Exodus.

 

The 28-year-old has made just 7 starts for the Citizens in the league this season.
