Manchester United are lining up a summer transfer offer for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani as a potential replacement for outbound Robin Van Persie, according to The Mirror.
The report claims that the Red Devils boss David Moyes is keen on finding a replacement for Van Persie, who looks likely to leave Old Trafford in the summer and is hopeful of luring Edinson Cavani to the club, with the prospect of playing him as the main striker.
Cavani is understood to be unhappy with his life at the French champions, having been forced to play on the wing and is ready to reconsider his future should a top club come for his services.
Man Utd are currently placed 6th in the Premier League following their comfortable 3-0 away win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
