Liverpool plot summer move for Benfica star

Liverpool are reportedly preparing a summer transfer offer of £25m for Benfica forward Rodrigo, according to The Mirror.

The report claims that the Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is understood to be keen on securing the services of a top-class striker in the summer, as the club look set to feature in the Champions League next season.

 

Adding to this, the Merseyside club are interested in making a move for Rodrigo, but are likely to face a bidding war from Russian giants Zenit St Petersburg, who have been tracking the player over the past few weeks.

 

The 23-year-old has been in good form for the Primeira Liga giants this season, and has scored 10 goals for the club so far.
