Arsenal have reportedly no plans of offering a new contract extension to Spanish midfielder Mikel Arteta, according to Goal.com.
The 32-year-old who joined the Gunners from Everton in the summer of 2011, has just a year left on his current deal at the end of the season.
Goal.com claims that the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger considers Arteta as surplus to requirements and could allow his sale come the summer transfer window.
Arsenal are understood to be eyeing a move for a top-class midfielder in the summer, and have been linked with the likes of Lars Bender in recent weeks.
