Tottenham are amongst the teams hopeful that a deal can be agreed for Manchester City's defender Micah Richards. The full back is no longer considered a first choice full back by manager Manuel Pellegrini and is considering a summer move away.
Richards is concerned that a lack of first team football is severely damaging his long term international future for England and is ready to leave his boyhood club for a chance elsewhere.
Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood is a huge admirer of the defender and is preparing a bid for the full back as Spurs continue their long search to find a new full back for next season.
Richards has indicated that he would only consider a move to a top 5 Premier League side if he were to leave the Etihad Stadium.
