Chelsea are reportedly closing in on the signing of Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa for a fee of around £35m, according to Goal.com
The Brazilian-born Spanish international has been strongly associated with a summer switch to the Blues since the turn of the year, and Goal.com claims that a deal could be struck by the end of the season.
It is understood that Chelsea's representatives met up with the Spanish outfit over a potential deal for the player, and further talks have been scheduled when the clubs face-off during the Champions League semi-finals later this month.
The report also claims that the Blues are willing to triple Costa's current weekly wage structure of £50,000.
