Liverpool are reportedly preparing a £12m offer for Barcelona striker Cristian Tello in the summer.
According to The Mirror, the Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is understood to be a huge admirer of the 22-year-old's talents and considers him as one of his main targets during the summer transfer window.
The Reds have been in contact with Tello's agent over the past month following speculation that the player could leave Camp Nou at the end of the season.
However, the deal would depend on whether the Catalans win their appeal to overturn a 14-month transfer ban, imposed on them by FIFA earlier this month.
Liverpool lead the Premier League table with 78 points.
